Easy Lemon Pepper Shrimp Tacos with Creamy Slaw
The easiest recipe for shrimp tacos includes our Lemon and Cracked Pepper seasoned shrimp. The taste is light and bright, and works well with any of your favorite taco fixings.
Because we make shrimp so easy to prepare, it can be the star of the show or a quick addition to a spread of grilled chicken or steak.
What to pair with shrimp tacos
As far as topping go, the light and bright flavor of our perfectly seasoned shrimp works with almost anything: avocado slices, crumbly cheese or fiery hot sauce. We love a creamy cabbage slaw, some pickled vegetables and a squeeze of lime.
Go full summer mode by pairing shrimp tacos with an ear of grilled sweet corn, or serve alongside beans and rice or chips and salsa.
⅓ cup sour cream
⅓ cup mayonnaise
juice of 1 medium lime
⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
¾ tsp garlic powder
hot sauce or sriracha sauce to taste
2 cup thinly sliced red or green cabbage (mix and match or use prepared cole slaw mix!)
salt to taste
1 pack Lemon and Cracked Pepper seasoned shrimp
4 corn or flour tortillas
1 avocado, sliced (optional)
pickled jalapeños and/or red onions (optional)
crumbly cheese such as Oaxaca, Cotija or Queso Fresco (optional)
Shrimp and Fixings
Make the Slaw
In a large bowl, Whisk together sour cream, mayo, lime juice, garlic powder, hot sauce/sriracha and salt
Add cabbage and cilantro to bowl and toss to combine.
Make the Shrimp and Tacos
cook Lemon and Cracked Pepper shrimp according to instructions
Lightly toast tortillas. Place in a dry skillet over medium high heat for 15-20 seconds per side
Assemble your tacos! Add shrimp, slaw, avocado, cheese and pickled vegetables to tortilla. Dress with a squeeze of lime or a dash of hot sauce.
Pro tips: Double the recipe for the "dressing" portion of the slaw and set some aside as a sauce. Drizzle extra on these tacos or use as a dip for chips or veggies.
